✅ Know Before You Go
- Protect the grass. Seagrass scarring is a real problem here — trim up and idle off the flats. Much of the lagoon is a designated Aquatic Preserve.
- Check the rules before you keep. Snook and redfish have slot limits and seasonal closures — verify the current FWC regulations first.
- Mind the manatee zones. Slow-speed zones are enforced, especially in the Banana River and around marinas.
- Watch the wind. The lagoon is wide and shallow — a stiff breeze blows out the clarity and the bite, so plan around it.
